Description

Chateau Palmer is a real star of the Margaux appellation, on the left bank of the Bordeaux region. After building its reputation on legendary vintages, Chateau Palmer continues to write its history under the direction of talented Thomas Duroux. Enjoying an exceptional terroir located in the immediate vicinity of the Gironde estuary, Chateau Palmer has a rather unusual encepagement in the Medoc, with a large share of merlot (47%), which is found alongside cabernet sauvignon in equal proportions (47%) associated with the petit verdot (6%). The philosophy of Chateau Palmer is based on a simple desire: to reveal the pure expression of a complex terroir. In a resolutely forward-looking approach, chateau Palmer was one of the pioneers by introducing biodynamics to the vineyard as early as 2008. Chateau Palmer is above all a unique style that is an exception in the Margaux appellation. Endowed with an immense class, defined by exemplary precision, the wines of Chateau Palmer present an aromatic bouquet of great nobility. The imprint of Merlot is unmistakably evident through the bright expression of the fruit. Silky texture on perfectly extracted tannins, the palate is designed on a charming mouth in the youth of the wine growing in a persistent lengthening with the years. A great Margaux.
