Terms and Conditions

Thank you for checking out Vine & Cellar Reserve, a direct-to-consumer alcohol ordering and shipment service (“Vine & Cellar Reserve”) of Albertsons Companies, Inc., together with its subsidiaries and affiliates (“Albertsons” or “Company”, “we”, “our” and “us”)! These terms and conditions (the "Terms") outline how the Vine & Cellar Reserve differ from other Albertsons offerings covered in our Terms of Use (the “TOU”) and privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”). By placing an order through Vine & Cellar Reserve, you accept these Terms, our TOU, and Privacy Policy. Capitalized terms not defined herein shall have the meaning assigned to them in the TOU.

ATTENTION: These Terms are in addition to the TOU and the Privacy Policy, which are specifically incorporated herein by reference. 

ATTENTION: THESE TERMS CONTAIN A MANDATORY ARBITRATION PROVISION THAT, AS FURTHER ADDRESSED IN SECTION 24 OF THE TERMS OF USE AND OUR DISPUTE RESOLUTION TERMS REQUIRES THE USE OF ARBITRATION ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS TO RESOLVE DISPUTES. THIS MEANS THAT YOU AND THE COMPANY (AS DEFINED IN THE TERMS OF USE) ARE EACH GIVING UP THE RIGHT TO SUE EACH OTHER IN COURT OR IN CLASS ACTIONS OF ANY KIND. IN ARBITRATION, THERE IS NO JUDGE OR JURY.

We reserve the right to update these Terms from time to time by notifying you of such changes by any reasonable means including by posting revised Terms through the Sites. Any such changes will be effective immediately upon being posted on the Sites. The "Last Updated" legend at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were last changed. Your continued use and/or access of Vine & Cellar Reserve and/or the Site after a posted change in these Terms will constitute your acceptance of and agreement to such changes.

1.     Additional Ordering Terms

In addition to the general terms set forth in our TOU, when placing an order for products through Vine & Cellar Reserve, the following ordering terms and conditions also apply:

  • Account: You must create a separate account through the Vine & Cellar Reserve Site to place a Vine & Cellar Reserve order, which shall be deemed an “Account” under the TOU.
  • Minimum Age: You must be age 21 or older to order and/or purchase products through Vine & Cellar Reserve.
  • Order Cancellations: If you wish to cancel an order placed through Vine & Cellar Reserve, you must do so within 30 minutes of placing your order. Cancelled orders may be subject to a 10% restocking fee. Please email Vine.Cellar@VineCellarReserve.com to cancel your order.
  • Changes to Orders: No changes, modifications, or substitutions whatsoever may be made to your Vine & Cellar Reserve order after it is placed.
  • Shipment Holds: As of the October 7, 2025, shipment holds will no longer be available or accepted. If you previously selected a shipping hold for up to 14 days for an order, that hold will be lifted, and we will contact you to arrange for delivery of your order within two weeks of October 7, 2025.
  • Out of Stock Products: From time to time, we may run out of certain products after you place your Vine & Cellar Reserve order. If a product in your Vine & Cellar Reserve order becomes out of stock, we will fulfill the rest of your order and note on email receipt shipping confirmation that said item was out of stock. You are not permitted to substitute any out-of-stock products in your Vine & Cellar Reserve order.
  • Company Loyalty Discounts: We may offer specific Vine & Cellar Reserve discounts, offers, coupons, and/or promotions (“VCR Coupons”) from time to time, and any such VCR Coupon may only be used for the specified Vine & Cellar Reserve orders and no other Company online order or in-store. Except for VCR Coupons, no other Company discounts, offers, coupons, or promotions are valid for Vine & Cellar Reserve orders or may be applied to Vine & Cellar Reserve orders and/or products.

2.     Restrictions

The following restrictions and/or limitations apply for Vine & Cellar Reserve orders:

  • Vine & Cellar Reserve orders may not be made for local delivery or pickup, they may only be made for shipment through our third party carrier.
  • Vine & Cellar Reserve orders are excluded from Company’s FreshPass members’ unlimited delivery benefits.
  • Vine & Cellar Reserve orders may not be combined with other Company grocery delivery or pickup orders.
  • Vine & Cellar Reserve orders are not eligible for in-store pickup. Vine & Cellar Reserve orders and products are only available for shipment in California, to California addresses that are located in areas that are serviced by Company’s normal grocery delivery service. Vine & Cellar Reserve orders and/or products shall not be shipped to P.O boxes. Vine & Cellar Reserve orders and/or products may be shipped to California business addresses, subject to the terms herein.
  • Certain Vine & Cellar Reserve products may also be available at your local Company store and/or on other pages of the Site, please check your local Company store and the Site for availability. The price of these offerings may vary from the prices listed on the Vine & Cellar Reserve Site.

3.     Shipments; Delivery; Title and Risk of Loss

We use third party delivery partners, couriers, and/or carriers (each a “Courier”) to ship and/or deliver Vine & Cellar Reserve orders. Title and risk of loss pass to you upon our transfer of the products to the Courier. Shipping and delivery dates are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed. We are not liable for any delays in shipments. Couriers may have their own additional terms and conditions that apply to shipments conducted by them, all shipments will be subject to the respective Courier’s terms and conditions, along with these Terms. Please access the specific Courier’s terms and conditions to understand them fully.

You will be responsible for all shipping, handling, and other Courier  fees (“Courier Fees”). Courier Fees apply for all Vine & Cellar Reserve orders and are based on the actual rates (and in some instances, the average of such actual rates) charged by our Courier. Actual Courier rates and fees are based on the size of your order and shipping destination. Please note that someone 21+ will need to be home to sign for delivery/ If the Courier is not able to deliver the product after three attempts and your order is returned to sender, we will refund the value of the product in your order less the shipping fee cost. A 10% restocking fee may also be charged.

4.     Returns and Refunds

The following returns and refunds policies apply to Vine & Cellar Reserve orders:

Returns: By law, we are only allowed to accept returns of alcoholic beverages if they were (i) purchased or received in error or (ii) damaged when received. No other returns or requests for returns will be accepted. If you believe you purchased or received the wrong alcohol product or an alcohol product you didn’t order, or received a damaged product, you may request a return for that specific erroneous product with documentation of your order. Return requests will be accepted or rejected in our sole discretion and may be subject to a 10% restocking fee. Return requests must be made within 30 days of placing your order. Return requests made after that time will be rejected.

Returns are not accepted at any store locations at this time. Alcohol products received in error and damaged products may not be returned to Company store locations. To process a return request for a Vine & Cellar Reserve product, please contact our team by email (Vine&Cellar@Albertsons.com) or phone (657-315-4860).

Refunds: If your Vine & Cellar Reserve return request is accepted, we will process a refund for the product back to your original form of payment. It may take up to ten (10) days for your refund to be processed and for you to receive the funds in your account or credited back to your card. Decisions regarding returns and refunds by us are final.

5.     Goods Not for Resale or Export

You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the various states and of the United States including all Export Regulations, as defined below. You represent and warrant that you are buying products or services from the Site and Vine & Cellar Reserve for your own personal or household use only, and not for resale or export. Products and services purchased from the Site and from Vine & Cellar Reserve may be controlled for export purposes by export regulations, including but not limited to, the Export Control Reform Act of 2018 (ECRA) (Title XVII, Subtitle B of Pub. L. No. 115-232), the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 768-799) for which ECRA is permanent statutory authority, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (22 C.F.R. 120-128 and 130) and their successor and supplemental regulations (collectively, "Export Regulations").

6.     Privacy

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. Our Privacy Policy, governs the processing of all personal data collected from you in connection with your purchase of products or services through the Site, including without limitation, Vine & Cellar Reserve.

7.     Conflict

If there is a direct conflict between the provisions of these Terms and the TOU and/or the Online Ordering Services Terms, the provisions of these Terms will control solely with respect to Vine & Cellar Reserve and Vine & Cellar Reserve orders.
