Bordeaux
Bordeaux, in southwestern France, is one of the world’s most prestigious wine regions, known for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blends. The region’s diverse soils and maritime climate contribute to the complexity of its wines. Bordeaux is divided into several sub-regions, including Médoc, Saint-Émilion, and Pomerol, each producing distinct styles. The wines are characterized by their structure, elegance, and rich flavors. Bordeaux’s classification system, established in 1855, highlights the region’s top estates, known as Grand Cru Classé.
Our Bordeaux at Vine & Cellar is curated by Curtis Mann, Master of Wine from his many trips to the region over the past 15 years, and we have one of the best collections in California. Many of the wines are stored in our temperature-controlled cellar and all are sourced directly from the importer for optimal quality (we do not sell grey market Bordeaux).
