Description

Ripe blackberry fruits and rich tannins. Juicy wine with a licorice aroma and black plum fruits.. Château La Croix Bonneau is an old property located in Montagne. It was purchased in 2005 by the current owners, who implemented a new policy based on low yields and terroir expression. Yields are now 38hl per hectares, thanks to a short pruning, and green harvest if needed. The entire crop is carefully harvested by hand, and several sorting waves are carried out before vatting. Consulting by the Michel Rolland team. It's in 2014 that Sarah and Bruno MARCHAND, neighbours of the estate, take it over. Bruno has grown and been interested in winemaking and wine growing since his youngest age, but also in the management of the appellation, since with not even 40 years, he can count already 8 years as the president of AOC Montagne St Emilion. Taking over the estate, he wishes to continue to work in the respect of terroir, to produce the best wines possible each year.
