Description

Woodward began its artist series wines in 1992. The 2019 growing season was cut short by frost, and at times this wine seems to reflect that. The aromas start out leaning into the green, with notes of fresh garden herbs and savory green pepper. Cherry and carob notes are there too. There's a lovely deftness to the palate, as there is with many wines from this vintage, with intensity too. Give it time in bottle to see it at its best. Drink after 2027. — Sean P. Sullivan
