Garrison Brothers Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey

This amber-hued whiskey is made with Texas corn, and the label on the bottle provides an endearing amount of detail, spelling out the corn variety (#1 Panhandle white) and where it was farmed (Dallam County), the year the corn was harvested, plus details related to distillation and aging. The whiskey itself is a bit oaky, showing some vanilla and caramel, finishing long and slightly hot. I'd love to see a longer-aged version of this whiskey. Kara Newman
