Alsace

Alsace, in northeastern France, is acclaimed for its aromatic white wines, particularly Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Gris. The region’s cool climate and diverse soils contribute to the high acidity and intense flavors of its wines. Alsace Rieslings are known for their precision and minerality, while Gewürztraminer offers exotic spice and floral notes. Pinot Gris from Alsace is rich and full-bodied, with flavors of stone fruit and honey. The region also produces excellent sparkling Crémant d’Alsace. Alsace wines are versatile and food-friendly, pairing well with a variety of dishes from seafood to spicy cuisine.
