Description
A brilliant, deep garnet hue. Rich and complex with aromas of red and black fruits. The entry is smooth and round, the wine rich and complex. The silky tannins are beautifully elegant and show rare finesse. Lovely length of flavour. One sign of its auspicious future is that in the Middle Ages, Terre de Poujeaux used to be a manor that belonged to Latour Saint-Mambert, later to become Château Latour... The estate produced its first wines in the 19th century and took on real independence. In the first half of the 20th century, the property was prosperous and was handed down and divided up until the Theil family decided to take a closer look at it. Jean Theil strove to bring the different parts of the estate back together again and built its reputation. 2008, Philippe Cuvelier and his son Matthieu, who are already the happy owners of the Saint-Emilion 1er Grand Cru ClasséChâteau Clos Fourtet, have taken over the destiny of this lovely estate in Moulis en Médoc
