Description

Chateau Phelan Segur traces its origins to the 19th century under the traits of Bernard Phelan a wine merchant of Irish origin who settled at that time in Bordeaux. Owned by Xavier Gardinier since 1985, the Chateau Chateau Phelan Segur was acquired in January 2018 by Philippe Van de Vyvere. Accompanied by his son Pierre, this Belgian entrepreneur with a passion for Bordeaux wines is proud of the reputation of this reference from the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux and that Place de Bordeaux has listed as part of the Grands Crus Classe. Proudly overlooking the Gironde estuary, the 70-hectare vineyard is divided into four plots set on a mosaic of terroirs. The grape variety is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
