Description

The history of Chateau Pédesclaux begins in the early nineteenth century when Peter Pédesclaux purchased several parcels of vines and created the estate. Its wine was classified as a Fifth Growth in 1855. Jacky Lorenzetti and his wife Frances, looking to expand their wine holdings after the purchase of Chateau Lilian Ladouys, purchased the Chateau in 2008. Their goal has been to raise the wine to a more consistent and better level than at the time of the 1855 Classification. Located in the north of Pauillac, the vineyard covers 42 hectares of gravel on clay subsoil.

Bordeaux

Bordeaux, in southwestern France, is one of the world’s most prestigious wine regions, known for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blends. The region’s diverse soils and maritime climate contribute to the complexity of its wines. Bordeaux is divided into several sub-regions, including Médoc, Saint-Émilion, and Pomerol, each producing distinct styles. The wines are characterized by their structure, elegance, and rich flavors. Bordeaux’s classification system, established in 1855, highlights the region’s top estates, known as Grand Cru Classé. Some of these wines are highly sought after by collectors and known for their exceptional quality.
