Description
Château du Tertre is a 5th Cru Classé in the Margaux appellation on Bordeaux's left bank. Since its purchase at the end of 1997 by Eric Albada Jelgersma, considerable investments have been made to sublimate this exceptional terroir of rare homogeneity. Since January 2021, Château du Tertre has been run by the Helfrich family, managers of the trading company Les Grands Chais de France.
With a surface area of 45 hectares, including 41 hectares in production, the Château du Tertre vineyard is planted on sandy-clay gravel, ensuring optimal drainage and deep rooting. The grape varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
