For the table of Kings and the altar of Gods is the motto of Chateau d'Issan. And with good reason! This wine was served at the wedding of Eleanor of Aquitaine and Henry Plantagenet in 1152. Centuries later, Chateau d'Issan was also served at Emperor Franz Joseph's court in Vienna. The vineyard lies at the heart of the Margaux appellation, on a superb gravelly terroir rich in pebbles. A wine of finesse and elegance, expressing the exquisite bouquet particular to the Margaux region, it stands out for its suppleness, charm and finesse that are specific to its terroir.
