The grapes are sourced from an exceptional terroir in the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail, on clay-limestone soils. For the rest of the appellation, the soils are sandy-clayey, with Banks of rolled pebbles on the plateau of the garrigues and on the terraces of Ouvèze.
