Meursault
Meursault, in Burgundy, France, is famous for its exceptional Chardonnay. The region’s limestone-rich soils and east facing vineyards lead to balanced wines with fruit ripeness sometimes hard to achieve in other places in Burgundy. Meursault’s whites are known for their buttery texture, vibrant acidity, and rich flavors. Meursault Chardonnays are celebrated for their flavors of citrus, apple, and hazelnut, usually complemented with a hint of oak from winemaking. The region has a high concentration of Premier Cru Vineyards, some of them among the most famous Chardonnay vineyards in the world.
